Joint celebrations

THE team at Joint Logistic Unit – South (JLU-S) is celebrating after achieving International Organisation for Standardisation accreditation after three years of effort.

JLU-S, based at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia, recently passed its final Third Party Certification Audit and have been recommended for certification to ISO 9001:2000.

JLU-S achieved this goal by proving it had a quality management system that enabled it to consistently provide products that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance Services external auditor Malcolm Clarke presented the certificate to JLU-S Commanding Officer Wing Commander Chris Howard, Projects Officer Squadron Leader Alyson Langley and Business Development Manager Phil King at a ceremony attended by unit members.

At the ceremony, WGCDR Howard congratulated his military and civilian personnel and told them that it was essential to keep up the good work.

“We’ve got this in place and now we have to keep working on it to maintain our certification,” WGCDR Howard said.

“While the road to certification has sometimes been difficult, we can be proud of this achievement.”
