Tribute to airman

A flypast has been conducted over Adelaide’s Centennial Park Cemetery as a tribute to highly-regarded RAAF Base Edinburgh Corporal Sandy Tait.

A Maritime Patrol Group P-3 Orion aircraft conducted a single flypast of Centennial Park’s Heysen Chapel on the morning of CPL Tait’s funeral.

The moving service for CPL Tait, 41, was led by Chaplain Michael Pullar and attended by more than 150 members from No. 10 Squadron.

CPL Tait had served as an aviation technician for more than 20 years spending most of his career at RAAF Edinburgh.

He died suddenly last month. The cause of death is unknown.

CPL Tait is survived by his 13-year-old son Bradley, and partner Vanessa Walker-Smith.
