Edinburgh’s top airman

Corporal Roger Huber accepts his award from Bruce Pitt.
Corporal Roger Huber accepts his award from Bruce Pitt.
WORKING hard to ensure RAAF Base Edinburgh’s simulators are serviceable for training missions has led to Corporal Roger Huber being named 2002 RAAF Edinburgh Airman of the Year.

CPL Huber, the Simulator Maintenance Technician at No. 292 Squadron’s Mission Support and Integration Training Facility, has consistently demonstrated professionalism, dedication and superior trade knowledge.

In addition, his efforts in organising a fundraising day at 292SQN for the Anti-Cancer Foundation and participation in the Relay for Life have brought great credit on himself and the Air Force.

No. 467/463 RAAF Squadrons Association President Bruce Pitt presented the award at a ceremony at the base.

Other guests included Officer Commanding No. 92 Wing Group Captain Steve Martin, RAAF Base Edinburgh Base Commander Wing Commander Rick Subotkiewicz, Joyce Pitt and No. 467/463 RAAF Squadrons Association Treasurer Fred White and his wife, Patricia.
