CHIEF of Air Force Air Marshal Angus Houston has presented letters of gratitude and a commendation to members of No. 381 Expeditionary Combat Support Squadron in a ceremony at RAAF Base Williamtown.

Sergeant Geoff Cox (GSETECH), Corporal Phillip Mills (GSEFITT2) and Corporal Tony Parsons (GSETECH) were presented with letters of gratitude from Major Walter J. Lindsley, Commander 376th ELRS, USAF, for their outstanding efforts in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Kyrgyzstan.

Leading Aircraftman Dan Ellis was presented with a Commanding Officer’s commendation for the exceptional contributions he provided to the 84 Wing Detachment in Kyrgyzstan.

Leading Aircraftman Dean O’Byrne was also presented with a letter of gratitude from Wing Commander Michael Mercer (RAF), Headquarters Integrated Area Defence System, in recognition of his exemplary support during ADEX 02, an international air defence exercise conducted over the South China Sea.

In presenting the awards to the five members, AIRMSHL Houston expressed to the squadron the important role that members of the Air Force and the ECSS play in supporting the ADF’s efforts both overseas and at home..
