Fond look at bygone days

Barry White, of Canberra, reminisces about his time with No. 34 Squadron as he looks at a display of memorabilia that formed part of 34SQN’s family day at RAAF Base Fairbairn on September 14.

Mr White served as the Senior Engineer with the squadron from 1976 until 1977. Five hundred people attended the family day, held to mark the closure of 34SQN’s Maintenance Flight in December which will end 55 years of uniformed maintenance to airlift and VIP operations.
