Chief seeks your views Past and serving members will be heard November, 2001 The Minister Assisting the Minister for Defence, Bruce Scott, has released a comprehensive review of Australian Defence Force salary and conditions (Nunn Review). In releasing the review, the Government announced that it would defer decisions on the full range of recommendations until the views of serving and past serving members have been heard. This review has far reaching implications for the future of the Air Force and its personnel. To assist CAF in forming a view in respect of the Air Force position, the views of Air Force personnel will be sought. Three Air Force Nunn Review Consultation Teams have been established to seek the views of Air Force personnel through focus groups that will be established in a number of geographic locations. Information as to how to become involved in the focus groups will be advised after confirmation of the consultation itinerary. Any serving Air Force personnel unable to participate in a focus group can forward views at any time through the AFPC intranet-site: http://defweb2.cbr.defence.gov.au/afpc The site also hosts information on the review itself and the consultation process. Alternatively, current and ex-serving personnel can email their views to afpc@cbr.defence.gov.au For the full Review go to the Review Home Page at http://www.defence.gov.au/remuneration Visits to the regions will begin on Tuesday 6 November for Darwin and Tindal and other bases beginning on Monday 12 November. Itineraries will be promulgated on or before 5 November 2001, subject to confirmation by regional Commanders and Managers.
