Battalion (3 HSB) hands over to WGCDR Margaret Hine, Commander ASC
5 and Commanding Officer of No. 6 RAAF Hospital. |
Australian medical Contingent 5 (ASC 5), comprised predominantly of RAAF
Williams-based 6 Hospital, has taken over command of the United Nations
Hospital. And the changing of the Australian medical 'guard' was marked
with a parade at the East Timor Police Academy.
On parade, incoming CO UN Hospital, Wing Commander Margaret Hine, credited
the Adelaide-based 3HSB for the seamless transition of medical staffs.
She said it was an honour to take up command of the UN Hospital and issued
a challenge to her medical team. 'ASC 5, our job is ahead of us. We will
undertake our mission with the pride and professionalism we displayed
during our pre-deployment training.'
