Director General visits

July, 2001

MAJGEN Low Choy inspects the Escort Squadron of the AAFC Victorian Squadron at the Annual Parade.
Director General of the Australian Services Cadet Scheme, Major General Darrell Low Choy, reviewed the Annual Parade of the Australian Air Force Cadets, Victorian Squadron, on Sunday, 27 May 2001, held at the historic parade ground of RAAF Williams, Point Cook, the birthplace of Australian military aviation.

MAJGEN Low Choy spent a considerable amount of time speaking with cadets prior to the Annual Parade, as well as visiting many of the support group sites and meeting parents and friends gathered to watch the proceedings.

After reviewing the Parade and presenting many of the annual awards, MAJGEN Low Choy addressed the Parade and indicated his deep commitment to the Cadet Forces, the aims and aspirations of the Australian Services Cadet Scheme and, in particular, the strengthening bonds between the RAAF and the Australian Air Force Cadets.

Those who met the Major General were delighted with his genuine interest and inquiring mind - he certainly knows how to ask thought-provoking questions, all with a smile on his face!
