'Unbelievable' is the word Air Vice-Marshal Alan Titheridge used to describe
his past two years as Deputy Chief of Air Force.
At an intimate morning tea on Monday, 18 June, the outgoing DCAF (who
will now become Head Strategic Command) was presented with a gift by his
Air Force colleagues and had the opportunity to say goodbye.
'It has been a fascinating two years as Deputy,' he said. 'I value the
input of each and every one of you, it's been a great team effort - thank
you for supporting me and the Chief over the last few years.'
On behalf of Air Force personnel and Defence civilians, Air Commodore Jim
Cole, DGPERS-AF and Mr George Veitch, ASRP-AF thanked their 'strong leader',
who 'served with distinction' and wished him all the best for the future.
