RAF trainers visit

THREE senior Royal Air Force trainers have visited RAAF establishments to exchange ideas.

Group Captain Tim Winstanley, Group Captain Fred Church and Wing Commander Steve Johnstone visited the RAAF College at Point Cook, the Schools of Postgraduate Studies and Technical Training at RAAF Base Wagga and No. 1 Recruit Training Unit at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

They also held discussions with personnel in training policy areas in Canberra.

The discussions included leadership development in promotion-linked training, the involvement of airmen and airwomen in training delivery on officers’ courses, the e-learning environment, the use of contractors, links from 1RTU to trade training, recruit training and retention issues, and instructor selection and instructor training.
