Deadline for commission applications approaches

AIRMEN and airwomen applying for commission or applying for selection under the Airmen Access to the Academy Scheme should submit their applications by November 30.

Applications received after that date cannot be processed owing to time constraints of testing candidates, presentation to an Officer Selection Board and finalising appointments early in 2005.

Airmen and airwomen engaged in tertiary studies should note that, if successful, they will be required to attend Initial Officer Training in the latter half of 2005, which will require them to forego second semester studies.

Applicants are urged to consult their administration or orderly rooms regarding accurate completion of their applications. Targets for specialisations in 2005 were listed in messages from DPO-AF on August 15-16.
