New
law allows for super splitting
Changes
to Family Law legislation that commenced on December 28, 2002,
mean that in the event of marriage breakdown superannuation can
be treated as an asset and be split between the parties to the
marriage in much the same way as other property.

introduction of paid parental leave for permanent members of the
Australian Defence Force, under certain qualifying conditions,
