Chief of the Air Force Air Marshal Angus Houston congratulates P3C Flight Engineer Conversion Course graduates SGT Greg Clive, FSGT Col White and NCOCDT Josh Rooney.
Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Angus Houston was able to obtain a lift on a P-3C Orion to travel from Maroochydore, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, back to Canberra recently.

The Orion from No. 92 Wing, located at RAAF Base Edinburgh, was in the area to perform the final assessment flight for the last P-3C Flight Engineer conversion course conducted at No. 292 Squadron, 92WG’s aircrew and ground crew training squadron.

As a result, AIRMSHL Houston was able to pass on his congratulations to the three graduates – Flight Sergeant Col White, Sergeant Greg Clive and NCO Cadet Josh Rooney.

While 292SQN has been training P-3C Orion personnel since the Squadron’s inception on October 27, 1980, as of January 2003 it will only conduct training for the recently modified AP-3C aircraft.
