Air Marshal Sir Richard Williams, KBE, CB, DSO, in his uniform
as a captain in the Australian Flying Corps. The first military
pilot trained in Australia, Williams became the Air Force's
first Chief of the Air Staff in 1921. He is properly remembered
and honoured today as the "Father of the Royal Australian
Air Force".
