Australian Governor Lieutenant General John Sanderson presents
Flying Officer Stuart Jenner with his trophy.
|
PERSONNEL
from No. 25 (City of Perth) Squadron have come together to congratulate
a former member who has received a prestigious award.
Former Active Reserve Officer Flying Officer Stuart Jenner was awarded
the Governors Trophy for Excellence at a reception at Government
House in Perth.
The Governors Trophy was only reinstated this year and has
not been awarded since 1995.
FLGOFF Jenner received the award for his outstanding personal qualities,
leadership skills and professional conduct as well as his assistance
to the unit outside his principal job.
Commanding Officer of 25SQN Squadron Leader Nick Bricknell paid
tribute to FLGOFF Jenner, labelling him a credit to the squadron.
He is a great role model for young people joining the Air
Force, he is a real team player and is always willing to give himself
to assist others, SQNLDR Bricknell said.
FLGOFF Jenner recently transferred from the Active Reserve to the
Permanent Air Force, becoming a Security Police Officer.
He has, however, started a tradition in his family with both his
sister and father applying for places in the Air Force Reserves
with 25SQN.
The Air Force is a great life, FLGOFF Jenner said.
Being a Reservist with 25SQN has given me a great start in
my Air Force career.
I have learnt a lot and then had the opportunity to put it
all into practice.
Id definitely recommend it it is challenging
and exciting.
