Navy pride of women’s rugby

Navy provided the women’s player of the tournament and had 12 players selected in the Australian Services Rugby Union women’s representative team at the end of the tri-Service championships in Canberra on August 18.
LSNPC Renae Woodward, of HMAS Cerberus, was named player of the tournament and captained the combined Navy/Air Force team which defeated Army 25-10 to lift the CDRE Mick Dunn RAN Cup from the defending champions.
Navy’s representatives are: LEUT Liz Quinn, LEUT Amanda Eddy, LSSTD Kim Thomson, MIDN Ashleigh Payne, LSCSO Cassy Van Rythoven, LSNPC Renae Woodward, LSCIS Nicky Palmer, LSEWT Rebecca Weaver, MIDN Sara Mooney, ABCSO Bethanie Keefe, SMN Rachel Ward, ABWTR Elizabeth Doran.
Navy also had 10 players selected in the men’s representative team. They are: AB Max Gunn, LS Jason Harrington, MIDN Peter Waring, AB Daniel Robertson, LS Matthew Hilyard, LEUT Dean Brown, LS Jason Cook, SMN Diri Nasalo, LS Damien Tanaka, AB Dave Harris.
