Navy/Air Force takes title

Combined Navy/Air Force women beat Mick Dunn RAN Cup titleholders, Army, 25-10 for the women’s trophy at the Australian Services Rugby Union Championships in Canberra in mid-August.
Navy/Air Force coach AB Mick Harrington said his charges had trained hard all week and struck to their game plan. “The Army girls never gave up and that was our major concern but my girls stood up and were excellent.
“That’s all I could ask; I could not have asked for a better effort.”
Better players for Navy/Air force included MIDN Sara Mooney, MIDN Ashleigh Payne, and LEUT Liz Quinn.
