Witnesses given a hand

The Office of the Director of Military Prosecutions (ODMP) launched its inaugural intranet site on the DRN in August.

The site is useful for prosecution witnesses who have been called to give evidence at the Australian Military Court, including what to expect on the day of court.

ODMP Law Office Manager Sarah Raskow said she hoped the new site would help witnesses access the information they needed.

“In the past, I have spent many hours speaking with witnesses and explaining to them the process of giving evidence, the structure of the Military Justice and what to expect as a witness,” she said.

“The aim of the site is to provide witnesses with information that will answer their questions, and ultimately take away the apprehension related to giving evidence.”

The intranet site also provides the ability to electronically submit contact details, availability for attending a trial, feedback survey, the ODMP Prosecution Policy, the office contact details and trial results.

You can access the intranet site at http://intranet.defence.gov.au/militaryjustice/dmp/default.htm. Alternatively you can find a link to the ODMP site via the Military Justice Intranet site found on the DRN homepage or go directly to http://intranet.defence.gov.au/militaryjustice/.
