Legacy relay
Entrants will be in it for the long haul when they contest the fund-raising Legacy 100 at South Bandiana Army Logistics Training Centre in Wodonga on August 31.
The event will consist of a 100km relay race and an 80km individual run.
It will start at 7am and is expected to finish at 3pm, followed by presentations between 3.30pm and 4.15pm.
The team category will cater for men’s, women’s and mixed teams and is open to all three services, as well as civilians and Police, Fire and Ambulance members. The entry fee is $150 for an individual; and $500 for a team of four.
Mixed teams must have a minimum of two women, with each team member completing five legs of 5km each.

Target shooting
Anyone interested in clay target shooting, contact CPO Mick Bryan. There is a push to have this sport recognised by the Australian Defence Sports Council.

NT basketball
Army will defend both its titles at the Northern Territory inter-Service Basketball Tournament in the RAAF Base Tindal gymnasium from August 24 to 26.
About 40 players are expected to participate, with the Northern Territory’s men’s and women’s teams to be selected from the tournament for the national titles at RAAF Base Wagga from December 1 to 9.
