Ship’s Warrant Officers
The Navy community congratulates the following Warrant Officers on their selection as ship’s warrant officers within Fleet Command: WO Bill Shepherd, HMAS Success; WO Melville Harker, HMAS Ballarat; WO Peter Jones, HMAS Tobruk; WO Richard Gardiner, HMAS Sirius; and WO David Larter (unit to be confirmed).

Wrong annual author
The 2006 Navy Annual featured an article on Sea Change. Due to an editorial error the article was incorrectly attributed to Lieutenant Chris Walter. The correct author of the article was Petty Officer Nick Farinola. PO Farinola is thanked for his contribution and DGNCC apologises for the error.

Letters
I was a Junior Recruit at Leeuwin in 1970 and was awarded the Most Outstanding Junior Recruit Trophy. The honour board used to hang in the drill hall but is no longer there. Would anyone know what has become of it? Any help appreciated.

In late 04 I wrote to Navy News to enlist the help of readers in my attempt to locate WWII LDG Cook H.F. Lee. I was looking for this veteran so that I could return his WWII campaign medals which included an MID. Unfortunately, I received no leads as a result of that letter. However, I am pleased to report to your readers that I have recently located LDG Cook Lee’s daughter and his medals will be returned to his family.
