Hobart reunion
An open invitation has been issued to all ex naval personnel to attend an inaugural reunion – Hobart 2007, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Merdeka (Malaysian Independence). Events will be held from September 27-30 at Wrest Point, Hobart.

Bataan vets
The HMAS Bataan National Reunion will be held at Ulverstone, Tasmania, from November 9-11. This is an All Ships Reunion also.

Leeuwin calling
Calling all former RAN personnel who joined the Navy at HMAS Leeuwin on January 7 1970. A reunion is being held for members of this intake (30th Marks/Morrow) in Canberra on October 5 – 7.

Greg Tommasi (telephone: 07 55618355    gregtommasi@hotmail.com) has asked thosewho served in PNG after Independence Day on the 16 September 1975 to contact him. He is seeking approval for a PNG clasp (post independence) to be issued for the current Australian Service Medal (ASM).
