Are you interested in a playing a key role in the defence of your nation? Being part of a team, beneath the waves collecting intelligence, conducting surveillance and providing underwater protection to our surface ships? Interested but don’t know how? Then just read on.

The Submarine Careers Team (SCT), under the management of Training Authority – Submarines (TA-SM,) has taken over the responsibility for identifying personnel for submarine training.

This team will travel the country delivering presentations at service establishments and ships.On completion of each presentation, the team will be available for a one on one interview to address any further concerns a perspective recruit may have.

On receipt of a nomination the SCT will interact with command and divisional staff to ensure the administration process of nomination is expedited in a timely manner. Personnel whose nomitions are accepted will be directed to complete the Enhanced Selection Process (ESP). This is a five-day familiarisation course conducted at the Submarine Training and Systems Centre in Western Australia. Successful nominees will be posted to the next available Initial Collins Class Course.
