Slipped Disc - Loose and unplugged tunes
Volume 50, No.4, March 22, 2007

Loose
Nelly Furtado
EMI

THE diverse range of tracks makes this album sound like a compilation, incorporating a mixture of styles including R&B, pop and Latino beats.
The mix provides a fresh and enjoyable collection tunes if you can get used to Nelly’s nasally tones. I found myself just listening to a few of the tracks instead of the whole album. If you hate 80s music, skip the annoying track Do It.
There is a song on here for just about any occasion and you can dance away to songs like Maneater and No Hay Igual or chill out to slower paced tracks like the evocative Say it right.

I STARTED listening to this CD thinking it was going to be pretty ordinary – but quickly changed my mind.
Acoustic versions of Freak on a leash ,which featured Amy Lee from Evanescence, and Make me bad/in between days, which featured The Cure, were both complete surprises. Really good.
That said there are a few tracks to skip through, but one that isn’t is undoubtedly my favourite track on the album and all time favourite Korn song, Creep.
