Rugby tourists

The Australian Services Rugby Union is investigating a tour of South America next year.

The possibility of a tour to Argentina, home of the flamboyant Pumas, and Chile was raised at the recent ASRU annual meeting.

It is expected the 24-day tour would take place from October 1-25 after an intensive weekend preparation camp in Sydney, with the touring party flying into Chile before bussing to Argentina.

It is proposed that the ASRU representative team would be selected from the extant ASRU men’s playing list.
