Netball rep teams

All three services gained their share of representatives in the All Star teams named at the end of the ADF national netball championships in Perth from October 22-28.

The women’s All Stars will contest the Arafura Games in Darwin in May 2007 and the mixed and men’s All Star teams will compete in the All Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association Games in Perth next Easter.

“The All Star teams selected for representative honours next year are an excellent fusion of the three services,” organiser and WA player, CAPT Kate Rippon of 109 Signal Squadron 13 BDE said.

The women’s team is: PO Elizabeth Smith (GS), RAN; CPL Keira Esler (GA), RAAF; CPL Megan Walker (WA), Army; PTE Karmen Sampson (C), Army; CPL Amy Hall (WD), Army; LACW Rachael Gorton (GD), RAAF; PTE Joanne Read (GK), Army; coach, WO1 Greg Pearson; manager, Maj Lynne Oldfield.

Mixed: AB Emma Barrett (GS), Navy; CPL Stuart Bond (GA), RAAF; SGT Joanne Morgan (WA), Army; SQLDR Paul Fournier (C), RAAF; CPL Rosialand O’Brien (WD), Army; LAC Hong Lee (GD), RAAF; SMN Jodie Collins (GK), Navy; coach, CPL Megan Walker; manager, LS Bianca Wheeler.
