Volume 49, No. 20, November 02, 2006

Since returning to Australia on October 2, HMAS Rankin has been involved in a submarine recruiting drive along the east coast of Australia.

Open days for potential recruits were held in Brisbane, Sydney and Hobart.

WOMTSM Len Carr, of the Submarine Training Authority said Rankin was the centre-piece of the submarine recruiting drive conducted by the Submarine Presentation Team (SPT) during October.
The SPT visited HMAS Cerberus, ADFA, Albatross, Waterhen, Watson, Penguin, Kuttabul, all the ships berthed at Fleet Base East and Hobart.

WOMTSM Carr said submarine service appeals to the many sailors who are seeking new and stimulating career challenges.
