Albatross regain golf title

GROUP SHOT: A happy group of golfers in Bowral.

The 2006 Sir David Martin Competition was held at Bowral Country Club on September 13, in conjunction with a NSW Navy Golf Association open day.
The RAAF team went into this year’s final as defending champions, keen to show up long-time rivals, HMAS Albatross. After some classic matches, which saw the lead swap many times, Albatross reigned supreme 4-3.

The open day was a huge success with more than 70 players in battle for A, B, and C grade titles.
This year’s open day winners were:
A Grade – Kirk Brown
B Grade – CPOPT Tye Goodman
C Grade – CPOATA Robert Moore
Next year’s Sir David Martin title looks set to be hotly contested once again.
– LSATA David Dillon
