ADF Golf Association members won’t have to be in the Tiger Woods class to be eligible for the association’s major fund-raising activity on October 16.
The ADFGA is calling for expressions of interest from Defence golfers to contest the 13th annual Defence-Industry Golf Challenge at Federal Golf Club. ADFGA golfers who are feeling a little rusty, will get the chance to sharpen their skills before the event, which aims to foster relationships between Defence and Industry personnel.
First held in 2000, it is now a biannual event and will involve about 20 teams from Defence and industry competing in a two-person ambrose event over 18 holes.
Registration will take place from 10am, with the golf clinic between 10.30am and 11.30am, followed by lunch at 11.45am. Competitors will be briefed at 12.15pm for a shotgun start at 12.30pm.
Because of the popularity of the event and limited numbers, interested players should indicate their availability by email by October 9 to: ADFGA corporate relations officer,
GPCAPT Glen Toscan: glen.toscan@defence.gov.au. Applicants are requested to provide details of rank, title, contact information, home golf club, handicap and partner dinner attendance.
