SWIMMINGLY: LS Evan Murphy is congratulated by LEUT Julie Venning.

Breaking three out of four records wasn’t a bad result for LS Evan Murphy of the Cerberus Salty’s Swimming Club at a meeting last month.

LS Murphy represented Cerberus Salty’s at the Glamourheads and Roughies interclub meet at Richmond Pool in Victoria.

Entering the male 20-24 years age group, LS Murphy swam in four events and broke three Victorian AUSSI Masters records.

His results were as follows: 50m freestyle 26.36secs (breaking the 1991 record of 26.68secs); 50m butterfly 27.74secs (breaking the 1985 record of 28.20secs and); 100m freestyle 58.92secs, (breaking the 1991 record of 59.64secs). LS Murphy has been training under LEUT Julie Venning while he has been at HMAS Cerberus.
