BLANK FACES: Crew members are needed for Navy’s Variety Bash team.
You might be one of the magnificent seven wanted by the RAN for a challenging but fun-filled community engagement activity that aims to raise money for children with special needs.

Seven Navy personnel are needed to crew two unique cars that have been modified to resemble RAN maritime helicopters for a 4,600km charity drive from Brookvale in NSW to Bundaberg in Queensland.

LCDR Graeme Wong, who is organising Navy’s participation in the 2006 NSW Variety Bash, which raises money for Variety, the
Children’s Charity to help kids with special needs, wants to hear from interested parties.

LCDR Wong, the Ship’s Aviation Officer on HMAS Kanimbla, said he needs seven Navy personnel to join him on the bash from July 23-August 3.

The bash veteran said the magnificent seven he required should be happy-go-lucky, able to communicate with children, prepared to have a go at anything, and be able get the two-weeks away from their job.

  • LCDR Wong said interested parties can email him at graeme.wong@defence.gov.au or call him on mob: 0412 256 918.
