Career managers have conducted more than 560 interviews since
the Directorate of Sailors Career Management Fleet Base West (DSCMFBW)
opened for business in May.
And feedback from sailors who have visited the office strongly
indicates they have a much better understanding of how they are
managed and what factors drive career planning and decisions.
The decision to have waterfront career management centers was
one of a raft of measures designed to improve life in the Navy
endorsed by the Chief of Navy, VADM Russ Shalders.
