Invitation to winter event

As the weather has turned colder with snow beginning to show in the mountains, attention has turned towards the Navy Alpine Snowsports Championships.

This year’s championships will be held at Mt Buller Victoria from July 31 to August 7.

Nominations to attend are invited from skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from absolute beginners through to self proclaimed guns.

Cost is $645 ($495 for members of the RAN Ski Club) and that includes accommodation, instruction, lift passes, racing and some meals.

At the conclusion of the championships the Navy team will be selected to compete against the Army and RAAF from August 7-12. Navy men’s team is going for a “threepeat” this year.
