Navy has issued a reminder that leave will lapse if personnel’s
July 1, 2002 leave balance is not exhausted by July 1 this year.
Leave lapsing occurs automatically in PMKeyS on July 1 every year.
Navy members should determine their leave lapsing situation from
their administrative staff. Where circumstances prevent taking
leave before July 1 this year, application can be made to exempt
personnel from leave lapsing.
Applications for leave lapsing exemption needed to be submitted
on form PE057 and received by DGPERSAF after processing via the
chain of command by April 22.
It is anticipated that approval for leave lapsing exemptions will
occur only in exceptional circumstances.
