PAY OFF: Information is readily available for the crews of the FFGs about to decomission.

HMAS Canberra and HMAS Adelaide are currently scheduled to pay off in November 2005 and September 2006 respectively.

In addition, HMAS Darwin is programmed to transfer her homeport to Sydney from Fleet Base West in mid-2006.

In an effort to ensure that all aspects concerning personnel are addressed, meetings with ships’ staff, career managers, FEG staff, training authorities and category sponsors have been taking place on a regular basis since early January 2004.

These meetings will continue throughout the period that the changes are taking place.

If you think you may be affected by these changes in regard to postings, training etc, or if you just want more information, you can go to http://anzcemweb.anzac.defence.gov.au/ and then follow the link to “FFG FFH transition”.

Otherwise contact LCDR Tim Kenny (FFG FEG) on (02) 9359-6158, email Tim.kenny1@defence.gov.au or alternatively LCDR Don Draiden (FFH CEM) on (08) 9553 1803, email don.draiden@defence.gov.au.
