Pay manual hits the mark
The latest ADF Pay and Conditions Manual has just been released and the new documents are reported to be better written and easier to understand than ever before

Sailors should be better able to understand their pay and conditions with the release of the new ADF Pay and Conditions Manual Version 2 (Pacman v2).

More than 100 service personnel have contributed to rewriting and reorganising the manual, making it easy to find the information sailors need.

Pacman v2 contains almost everything personnel, administrators, and commanders need to know about ADF pay and conditions of service.

It will come with a supplement called Pacmate, which includes a comprehensive index to make it easy to find that tricky allowance.

The new documents are better organised and written in clear language.

The online versions will be kept up to date and the paper amendments will be available nearly twice as fast as they used to be Sailors can also go to the Defweb homepage: the “Pay and Conditions” link is up the top.Paper copies will be issued to units that need them by early July.

Before the manual goes live, the news will be sent out by signal, It’s easy to see a draft version of the new documents.

It’s easier to read for everyone, including family members.

Look out for the 2005-2006 edition.

It will be available online when Pacman v2 is released, or a printed copy can be obtained from orderly rooms, shopfronts or Customer Service Centres by early July.
