Eleven welcome additions
The way ahead for Navy management

At a special induction service at Defence Recruiting in Parramatta recently 11 new appointees were welcomed into the RAN by CAPT Tim Barrett DNOP.

“It is important that you uphold our values – honour, honesty, courage, integrity and loyalty,” said CAPT Barrett, who joined as a Junior Entry Cadet Midshipman in 1976 and qualified as an observer.

Four will become pilots, Ian Baxter, Carlo Filingeri, Mark Read, and Ben Martin, while Michael Wisniewski will train as an observer.

Adrian Gantley has joined as a qualified nursing officer and five will become seaman officers-Ben Baldwin, Robert Curtis, Brendan Naylor, Scott Baxter and Candice Poole.

Some have entered the RAN by the Direct Entry Scheme.
