Armidales alright

The new patrol boats look good except for that tiny thing they call a gun, come on 25mm?

What do we want to do, sting them?

I personally would rather strap an F88 to the front.

Also five knots slower than the Fremantle class, and less crew?

It doesn’t seem like we are taking steps to the future, rather we are taking a small step back.

I think we would have been better off just refitting the Fremantle class patrol boats with the new equipment.

Thanks to rescuers

On behalf of the family of WOB Ian Chill we would like to thank those personnel who took part in his rescue in The Solomon Islands last year.

Several of these people received commendations during the recent Divisions at HMAS Cairns.

Thanks to their heroic deeds, during difficult weather conditions, WOB Chill was rescued after breaking his back in a serious fall.
