OPEN FOR INSPECTION: New Zealanders get a chance to view some of our ships.

New Zealanders were able to inspect three eras of frigates in Auckland earlier this month. They were able to view the Leander Class steam driven HMNZS Canterbury, the Adelaide class FFG HMAS Melbourne and the ANZAC Class HMAS Parramatta.

The trio were just some of the warships on view, and or open for inspection at a March 5 open house” at HMNZS Philomel , the New Zealand naval base in Auckland.

Also open was RAN survey ship HMAS Melville.

The ship’s attracted hundreds of visitors.

The RAN four ships along with Tobruk and Farncomb, were in New Zealand for the final stages of Tasmanex.
