Thousands
of people streamed on to Garden Island/Sydney on New Years Eve
to view that city’s spectacular fireworks display.
They probably had one of the best seats in the house.
Entry was strictly controlled by HMAS Kuttabul staff with only
Defence employees and dock workers and their family members and
friends invited.
Each was issued with a bright pink entry card.
For those who did not bring their own fare there were several
hot food stalls. Children enjoyed two large jumping castles.
The fireworks displays came at 9pm and midnight.
