HMAS
Adelaide raised money for tsunami victims.
|
Although
they were thousands of kilometres away in The Gulf, the ship’s
company of HMAS Adelaide (CMDR Bruce Victor) remembered those
lost in the tsunami and how they might help the survivors.
As a result a half marathon was run on the forecastle of the 4,100
tonne warship and a total of $5,000 raised.
CPORS Rohan Jennings and ABBM Nicola Gunthorpe completed the course
in 1 hour 50 minutes and completed 286 laps of the forecastle.
They were accompanied by various other combinations of runners
along the way.
