Chopper rescues injured WA miner

X marked the spot as Navy Seahawk pilots rescued a critically injured mine worker in Western Australia late last month.
Car headlights, beamed in an X on a bushland clearing, helped guide the helicopter to the injured worker who had been hit by a falling branch.

LAST PAPER

This is the last edition of Navy News for 2004.

The editor, David Kirkpatrick, and his assistants, Rachel Irving, ABPH Kade Rogers, Graham Davis and LCDR Mick Gallagher would like to extend season’s greetings to the newspaper’s many readers.
The staff at Navy News would also like thank the large number of people who contributed stories and photos throughout 2004.

Regular contributors have included Louise Butcher, LSPH Kaye Adams, Gary Booth, Vic Jeffery, Peter Johnson, Alicia Miriklis, Ross Gillett and the many ship and base PR officers and photographers.
