ADF members will be taking to the streets on Friday September 3 for Badge Day, part of this year’s Legacy week campaign.

They will be joined by school students and other volunteers selling badges at
shopping centres, railway stations, ferry and bus terminals across metropolitan and in country areas on Badge Day.

Legacy is the organisation set up to help widows of deceased veterans who have served in a war or operational area or whose death was occasioned by hazardous service or training for war.

Currently Legacy cares for 130,000 widows Australia wide.

They also look after the children of war widows and currently care for 1800 children and people with disabilities, known as Legacy children or Junior Legatees.

Legacy week runs from August 29 to September 4.
