Sports Billboard

Soccer
WA interservice soccer trials will be held at the HMAS Stirling sports oval on Monday August 23 and Wednesday August 25 at 2pm-3.30pm. The interservice competition will be held from September 8-10. For more information contact LSPT Jason Hutchison on (08) 9553 2445.

Volleyball

The 2004 ADFVA National Championships will be held in Brisbane during the period November 13 - 21. Beach volleyball will be held at Strathpine Beach Volleyball Centre and the indoor volleyball will be held at Boondall. Running
The ADF Marathon Champion-ships are on Sunday August 1 in conjunction with the Townsville Marathon.

Squash

ADF Squash invites players of all levels to participate at the ADF National Championship at RAAF Williamtown from August 13-16. The competition comprises the mens’ and womens’ open and graded championships, mixed masters and doubles events and the annual national interservice championship. Squad selections for the ADF Squash Touring Team, set to tour NZ in October, will be made at the carnival. Cricket
The ADF national cricket carnival will be held in Brisbane from November 14 – 17. Selections for the Australian Services Cricket Association (ASCA) squad to tour the UK in July 05 will take place. This tour will celebrate the first Services Cricket Tour in 1945. The NZ Air Force will participate at the Brisbane Carnival and the selected ASCA team will play the Queensland Bulls Under 19 team at Alan Border Field on November 18 and 19. ASRU-W
The ASRU-Women will be competing in the 2004 Telstra Women’s Invitational Tournament at Gwilliam Sportsfield, Macquarie University, Macquarie Park. The tournament timings are:

Thursday 5th August, 12.20pm Victoria vs ASRU; 2pm ASRU v Lloyd McDermott Regional Development Team.

Friday 6th August, 12.20 pm ASRU v NSW Country; 2.50pm Sydney White v ASRU.

Finals to be held Sunday, August 8.

Basketball

Lawn Bowls
ACT/SNSW interservice lawn bowls competition will be played at West Deakin Hellenic Bowling Club, Kent St, Deakin, on Thursday 19 and Friday August 20. Rollups are underway on Wednesday afternoons at West Deakin Hellenic Bowling Club at 1.30pm.
