Rugby showdown looming

ASRU head coach, Wing Commander Graham King has urged Defence to show their support at the upcoming 2004 Electroboard- Polycom Australian Services Rugby Championships (ASRC).

“A big crowd presence is sought for all games and units are encouraged to come and view what is expected to be some closely contested, quality rugby,” said WGCDR King.

The program will kick off on Sunday May 9 at Coogee Oval, Sydney.

Navy Rugby are keen to see their name returned to the winner’s shield after last year, when Army bolted home in the last 20 minutes of the final.

Game times are as follows:

Sunday May 9, 2.30pm Air Force V Army; Wednesday May 12, 2.30pm - Air Force V Navy; Sunday May 16, 12.30pm - Army V Navy/Air Force (combined); Sunday, May 16 2.30pm- Army V Navy.
