Australian football
The Australian Services Australian Football Association will hold its annual National Interservice Carnival at Manuka Oval in Canberra from April 16-20. Carnival organiser is Major Peter Crabbe on 0412-489 326.

Inline Hockey
With no inline hockey teams in Brisbane, a number of Defence personnel and families have aligned themselves with a Brisbane club at Stafford.

The game is played at all levels from beginners through to national teams, both male and female. CPL Hall from the Local MP Coy is coaching the 10/12s division and always seeking more experienced help.

Lacrosse
Defence members, male and female, who would like to or have played lacrosse are required for upcoming competition.

If you have played for a civilian club or the Defence Force (Army had a team in the 1990s) please contact Joshua Robinson to gauge the number of people interested in participating.

Navy rugby union
The annual Mons Cup rugby union knockout for Navy teams will be played in Sydney on Wednesday, April 7. Contact your local PTs for further details.

Rugby union
The Australian Services Rugby Union (ASRU) National Interservice Carnival will be held in Sydney from April 30.

Sailing
The organising committee for Northsail 2004 invites volunteers to help organise the largest voluntary adventurous exercise in Defence.

Shooting
Canberra District Army Rifle Association invites all Steyr-qualified soldiers, sailors and airmen, regular or reserve, to develop their core skill in an atmosphere of friendly competition at the Duntroon WTSS facility on the first Thursday of every month starting at 6pm. Qld hockey
The South-East Queensland Hockey Carnival will be conducted from April 29-30 at Burringbar Park Hockey Complex, 375 Hamilton Rd, Chermside. This carnival will be the springboard to select players to make up the men’s and women’s Queensland combined services side to tour Albury June 5-11. Body building
The Australian Defence Force Natural Body Building and Figure Titles will be held at the Southern Cross Cinema, HMAS Cerberus on Monday, June 7 between 7.15pm and 9.30pm. Tickets are $8 and will be available at the door.

Sportex 1
Nominations have been called for Sportex 1 from April 19-22. Sports involved include rugby league, tennis, Australian football, netball, hockey and volleyball. For nominations and further information contact the Navy Indoor Sports Centre on (02) 9359 2404 or e-mail jim.lawless@defence.gov.au.
