HMAS
Bendigo (LCDR Bryan Parker) has proved to the Fleet that she has
one of the finest crews of the Patrol Boat force by winning all
three major events during the annual Minor War Vessels Concentration
Period.
Units participating were HMA Ships Bendigo, Bunbury (LCDR Andrew
Schroder), Dubbo (LCDR Richard James), Ipswich (LEUT Belinda Wood),
Launceston (LCDR Paul Koerber), Townsville (LCDR Michael Harris)
and Warnambool LCDR (LCDR John Navin).
As Patrol Boats normally operate alone, a number of interesting
and challenging serials were conducted during the week.
By winning the DC Olympics, MWVCP Sports Trophy and Great Patrol
Boat Race, Bendigo claimed the over all title.
