Now 24-hour mental health support
Callers can choose to remain anonymous

The ADF has a new, all-hours tollfree call centre support line to assist personnel with mental health issues and connect them to immediate help.

It is called the All Hours Support Line. Launched October 20, the service will help ADF members and their families access mental health services in their local areas.

The service includes members deployed overseas. It will provide access to psychology, medical support, social workers and chaplains.

McKesson Asia Pacific has been contracted to provide the service. The company’s response operators are health professionals that have been trained in ADF issues management.

They will provide the caller with an initial assessment of the problem and immediate intervention if necessary, before referring them to ADF or civilian mental health support where required.

The service recognises that the stresses of balancing the increasing demands of work and family caused by the unique qualities of a career in the ADF can place great pressure on servicemen and women and their families.

It complements the range of mental health support services already available to ADF personnel under the ADF Mental Health Strategy It is confidential and callers can choose to remain anonymous.

The All Hours Support Line number is 1800 628 036.
