Officer Mathew Birch from FIMA Darwin was awarded the Patrol Boat
Group Achievement Award by Commander of the Patrol Boat Group,
CAPT Frank Kresse.
Congratulations on receiving the Patrol Boat Group Achievement
Award in recognition of your tireless and exemplary performance
in carrying out your duties and responsibilities whilst serving
at the Fleet Intermediate Maintenance Activity Darwin, CAPT
Kresse said.
The citation for the award read in part:
In recognition of your tireless and exemplary performance
in carrying out your duties and responsibilities while serving
at FIMA Darwin
You have consistently displayed exceptional enthusiasm and
initiative in the conduct of your duties, in addition to maintaining
the highest possible professional standards.
To this end, you have ensured that the weapons and hydraulic
maintenance service provided to Fremantle Class patrol boats has
been of the utmost quality.
Coupled with your professional application, the time you
have spent in developing and training your subordinates is thoroughly
commendable.
The consistently high qualities you display in terms of
professional knowledge and mature judgement have been an inspiration
to your peers and subordinates alike, and are a fine representation
of the Navy values.
Your outstanding performance and dedication have contributed
to the achievement of the Patrol Boat Force Element Groups
goals and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Royal
Australian Navy.
