The
HMAS Harman Seadogs rugby league team bowed out of the race for
a place in the grand final of the Canberra District competition
after losing its minor semi-final.
The Seadogs lost to the University Scholars in a nail-biter, 20-18,
after having led 16-10 at half-time.
The Seadogs finished fourth on the ladder, with 11 wins, one draw
and six losses after the home and away season, earning the right
to take on the second-placed University team in the finals.
Seadogs centre Dave Howlett scored two tries while Stephen Peake
crossed for one, while Scott Taylor kicked three goals.
University scored four tries and kicked two goals.
