The ADF Running and Athletics Association invites all permanent
personnel, Reservists and Defence civilians to take part in the
ADF Cross Country Championships at Simpson Barracks, Watsonia
on Friday, September 19. All age categories are catered for. Entries

Rugby
Union
The Australian Services Rugby Union annual general meeting will
be held on Friday September 12 at Russell 1
(R1-4-D011), Canberra from 12-4pm inclusive. ASRU committee members,
single Service unions, referees association and other interested
parties are invited to attend.
The ASRU executive is looking for personnel to fill key positions
for 2003 remaining and season 2004 and beyond. Duties are not
expected to be onerous and can be completed within normal working
hours. All appointments will be made at the ASRU AGM, with successful
applicants notified in writing. Applications should be sent to:

Soccer
The 2003 Albatross/Nirimba Cup soccer competition will be held
on Wednesday, September 24 at Christison Park, Old South Head
Road, Vaucluse in Sydney. Further information and nominations

The annual ADF Inter-Service Fishing Championship will be held

ADFA
Rams Reunion
The ADFA Rams Australian Rules Football Club has turned 18 and
to celebrate, the club will be holding a reunion for all past
members, players, coaches and supporters, in Canberra on the weekend
of October 24-27. Weekend events include the ADFA Rams Vs Old
Boys match, a formal function and a round of golf. Further details

It is planned to unveil a new club honour board detailing club
presidents, coaches, captains, Best and Fairests and ladder
position from the Rams 18 years of competition. Anyone who

Hockey
The 9th Australian Masters Games will be held in Canberra from
October 31 - November 9, with the ADF Hockey Association entering
teams again this year. The major requirement for entry is to be
30 years of age at December 31, 2003. Last year three teams (two
mens and one womens) competed in the World Masters
Games in Melbourne, and it is hoped the same numbers can be achieved
for the Australian Masters. Detailed information is available

Softball
The ADF Softball Association will hold its 2003 national championships
from November 10-14 at Georges River Softball Association grounds
(accommodation at Holsworthy Barracks). National mens and
womens teams will be selected for a tour to New Zealand
in December. Those wishing to compete should contact their State
